Our services make it easy to stream your media to almost any player, device or platform. We support every major streaming protocol and allow you to stream your audio/video files simultaneously to all popular media platforms.

By transparently integrating streaming support into our CDN, we make it easy for you to target multiple screens. No need to re-encode your files or configure streams separately, just upload your file to the CDN and it is ready to be streamed to all platforms. As a customer, you can use our unified Media Player to test each different delivery method and generate an embed code for it.

ADAPTIVE STReAMING

Adaptive streaming or bitrate switching allows clients to automatically switch between different video streams during playback, to ensure the highest possible video quality with minimum buffering and startup time. This way, clients can adapt dynamically to changing bandwidth conditions and available CPU resources, which makes this delivery method especially well suited for mobile devices.

We support adaptive streaming for Flash, iDevices and Silverlight. Again, this is done in a transparent fashion, requiring no additional action on your part to reach the various screens. Apart from the media files, you only need to upload a single configuration file - specifying the bitrate of your files - to provide our media servers with the information necessary for all types of adaptive streaming. Or you can upload your source file to a Rambla hotfolder (or via the RATS API) and let us take care of all deployment issues.

LIVE STREAMING

All delivery methods, including the different flavors of adaptive streaming, are also available for live-streaming. Moreover, our streaming servers can take a single live broadcast and stream it to all platforms mentioned here. To handle the broadcasting part, you can either use your own solution, hire our Rambla Media Encoder or ask us to manage the whole live event. See the Live Events page for more details.

Additionally, we can enable custom Wowza applications (e.g. for low-latency streaming, server-side recording, collaboration, chat...) or help you configure or tune them. Customers can also request advanced Wowza Media Server functionality, such as:
